Anti Range Eclipse Waveform Optimization Method for Quasi-CW Radar

To solve the problem of range eclipse in quasi-continuous wave(CW) radar,waveform optimization methods for radars with and without intra-pulse code agility are discussed.Based on the definition of range eclipse ratio function,penalty function for optimizing waveform for the radar without intra-pulse code agility is given and the corresponding poly-phase coded signal optimization method based on simulated annealing is proposed.Considering the issue that a target may cross multiple range gates,a range gate matched waveform optimization method for the radar with intra-pulse code agility is proposed.Simulation results show that these methods are feasible and effective.
