APPLICATION OF MAPGIS TO EARTHQUAKE INFLUENCE PREDICTION SYSTEM IN SHENYANG CITY

Based on GIS technology and putting in influence area analysis of earthquake and damage statistics predication procedure to MapGIS software platform, an information system for damage prediction and influence of earthquake on Shenyang City is developed. This system has capability to fast inquire and renew about basic information and data as well as quick to predict earthquake influence scopes and earthquake disaster. Thus statistic estimation of the disaster degree and scientific basis for disaster relief strategies can be presented.
