Study on restoring force model of steel-concrete composite joints with extended end-plate connections

The seismic performance of the joints with different bolt number,diameter and different arrangement was analyzed and the restoring force model of these combined joints was established through the pseudo-static test of 7 specimens under low cyclic loadings,all of which are welded compound-ring-hoop concrete column and cellular steel beam composite joints. The test results show that: the specimens with more bolt numbers and larger bolt diameters have better seismic performance; the joints in which 8 bolts are arranged in four rows and two columns are the most reasonable joints form; the skeleton curve of the recommended restoring force model is in good agreement with the test one and this gives a reference to elastic-plastic seismic response analysis of frame structure composed by steel beam and concrete column composite joints with extended end-plate connections.
