Study on computation model and seismic response of uneven curved-surface isolated structure

A curved-surface isolated structural system is proposed to deal with the large deformation of the isolation layer of the isolation structure under strong earthquake, in which the isolation layer is an uneven curved-surface. In the curved-surface isolated building, the superstructure is able to pivot freely around the center of curvature under the earthquake and structural gravity. A multi-degree-of-freedom dynamic model of the curved-surface isolated system is proposed, and the influence of the curvature radius of uneven curved-surface isolation layer on seismic response of the structure is further studied by the numerical analysis. The results are as follows. The displacements of isolation layer and superstructure in the curved-surface isolated structure can be effectively controlled under a rare earthquake. And the system has good isolation effect when the curvature radius is 10～15 times the height of the center of gravity.
