Modeling identification method of small-scale remote control helicopter

An embedded system is developed and a dentification method is presented based on dynamics in hovering flight of the small-scale RC(remote control) helicopter.The flight is decomposed to four states: pitch,roll,elevate and yaw—according to the four control inputs of helicopter(cyclic longitudinal,cyclic lateral,cyclic collective and directional).The Matlab identification tools are used for modeling from the flight experiments data,and four SISO(single input single output) linear modeling are obtained.The identified SISO model is verified by the flight data and especially useful for the automatic control of the small-scale RC helicopter.
