Improvement of Experiment of Organic Compound Qualitative Elemental Analysis

Organic elemental analysis is significant in determining the classification of organic compound. The sodium fusion is used specifically to detect the presence of nitrogen or sulfur as well as to specify the halogen. In this paper, the sodium fusion was improved in three ways in ident1fication of organic compound, (1) crushing the test tube directly in cold water. (2)add FeCl3 to detect SCN. (3)add glucose to increase the experiment sensitivity. According to these procedures, we could obtain more accurate analysis results, and proceeding test could be done more safely.
