Measuring Efficiency of the Public Employment Service System in China

The public employment service(PES) emerges in industrialized countries as a result of concerns about the social and economic impact of unemployment.Although there is a growing body of research that stresses the effectiveness of counseling and monitoring activities of the PES,so far,empirical evidence here is mixed.In the search and matching models,the PES matches registered jobseekers with registered vacancy and increase the effectiveness of labor market.Using the methods of survey,interview and statistics from local PES offices in Liaoning,we explore the fact that there are obvious distinctions among different groups although PES is satisfied integrally.
