Effects of high zinc dietary on milk production and serum zinc content of dairy cattle

Fifty Holstein cows, with similar performance and partum time, were randomly divided into 5 groups with 10 cattles per treatment.The effects of high zinc dietary on performance and milk component were studied.The results were as follows:1)There were no effects(P 0.05)on milk fat, protein, lactose and solids- not- fat(SNF) by the supplementation of zinc; 2)No effects on milk production existed except organic zinc supplementation (P 0.05); 3)Adding zinc extremely (P 0.01)increased zinc content in serum and milk, furthermore, there was a liner correlation between serum zinc and milk zinc(r = 0.627, n = 50)
