Study on organic matter digestibility in vitro with different grading indexes of mixed forages and different forage concentrated ratios

This experiment was carried out to study the effects of different grading index(GI)values of mixed forages with different forages and concentrate ratios on in vitro organic matter digestibility(IVOMD)after incubated 24 h in batch culture.The substrate for incubation was mixture of concentrates and mixed forages with different GI values according to the diet formula.The results indicated that high GI mixed forage rations owned high IVOMD when concentrate level was lower and its IVOMD would not be raised even if the concentrate level was raised,but low GI mixed forage rations could gain this effect only when the concentrate level was raised.
