Effects of probiotics on production performance,immunologic function and gut bacteria of broiler chickens

In order to study the effect of probiotics on broiler performance,immune function and intestinal flora,480 healthy male AA broilers of 1 day old were randomly divided into four groups with 6 replicates in each group,and 20 chickens per replicate. They were fed with basal diet(group A),basal diet supplemented with 0.5% lactic acid bacteria(group B),0.5% Bacillus subtilis(group C)and 0.5% compound bacteria(group D). The whole experiment lasted 42 days. The results showed that dietary supplementation of lactic acid bacteria,Bacillus subtilis and compound bacteria could significantly increase the average daily gain and daily feed intake of broilers(P 0.05),and each probiotic treatment group significantly increased the thymus index,spleen index and bursa index of broilers(P 0.05). Besides,probiotics increased IgG in serum of broilers(P 0.05),and significantly reduce the number of enteric harmful bacteria E. coli and Salmonella(P 0.05),increase the number of intestinal beneficial bacteria lactic acid bacteria(P 0.05),and the use of compound bacteria are significantly better than single bacteria. In conclusion,supplement lactic acid bacteria,Bacillus subtilis and compound bacteria in diet can significantly improve the performances of broilers,promote the development of immune organs,improve immune function,and regulate intestinal microflora. Compared with single bacteria,the effect of compound bacteria is better.
