In the same feeding and management conditions,320 Hy-Line Brown laying eggs, which were classified into 4 groups by different weight [I(51.0 ～ 55.9)g,II(56.0 ～ 61.0)g,III(61.1 ～ 66.0)g,IV(66.1 ～70.6)g].Through studying the changes of fertilization rate and hatching rate of laying eggs, and comparing the eggs weight loss and weight loss rate, the main results of this study were as follows:(1)Hatchability of hatching eggs in Ⅱ group were respectively 9.81%,4.62% and 7.11% higher than that in Ⅰ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ group(P 0.05).Weightlessness rate of eighteen embryonic age in Ⅱ group were respectively 10.99%,5.33% and 34.82%lower than that in Ⅰ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ groups(P 0.05).(2)The best hatching egg weight range of Hy-Line Brown hen was 56.0 ～ 61.0 g.Beyond this range, egg fertilization rate and hatching rate were decreased. In order to ensure a better hatch results in the production practice, the appropriate weight of eggs were needed.(3)Throughout the incubation period of Hy-Line Brown laying eggs, the weight loss process was stable. There was a different in egg weight loss between different weight range of eggs selected to hatch.Typically, the higher the rate of weight loss, lower hatchability.
