A New Kinematic Analysis Method of Epicyclic Gearboxes for Construction Machinery

This paper introduces a new kinematic analysis method for epicyclic gearboxes. It is based on a concept that there are only two basic structural units in an cpicyclic drive mechanism and on analysis of their kine matic constraint equations, which can easily be found by inspection of the relevant kinematic structural diagrams. The example illustrates that method is applied to design of construction machinery.
