Progress in the Study of Physiological Function of Sphingosine 1-Phosphate

Sphingosine 1 phosphate, a bioactive sphingolipid produced from the metabolism of sphingo myelin, play important roles in diverse biological process, including cell proliferation, survival, cytoskeleton changes, migration, angiogenesis, wound healing and embryonic development. Here we review the role of sphingosine 1 phosphate in cell biological function regulation and signal transduction.
