Test and discussion on technology of using phosphogypsum to produce cement clinker

The phosphogypsum was used to produce sulfuric acid and Portland cement clinker jointly, but the burning heat efficiency and performance of cement clinker could be influenced by the content of harmful impurities such as phosphor, fluorin and radionuclide, etc. The reaction mechanism of burning cement clinker with phosphogypsum was complex and hard to control with the popular rotary kiln; then reduced the heat efficiency and increased the clinker quality fluctuation. Referring to the advanced technologies, the quality and quantity of cement clinker could be improved with prior dehydration, decomposition of phosphogypsum and burning of clinker separately.
