Preparation of geopolymeric cement with high calcium fly ash processed by composite alkali activator

The geopolymeric cement with high-calcium fly ash processed by composite alkali activator was investigated. The modulus and addition content of the composite alkali activator,and the curing temperature and curing time were confirmed. The compressive strength,reaction products,and micro-morphology of the high-calcium fly ash based geopolymeric cement were also studied. The results showed that the high compressive strength could be obtained if the modulus of the composite alkali activator was 1.5 and the equivalent Na2O content was 10%. The 28d compressive strength could achieved 63.4MPa under the condition of suitable curing temperature and time (curing at 75℃ for 8 hours and then curing at 23℃ for 28 days). During the process of hydration the main gels of geopolymer and calcium silicate hydrate should be formed,and gismondine co-existed. The reaction products bonded some remaining unreacted granulated fly ash to form dense high-calcium fly ash based geopolymeric cement paste.
