Numerical simulation of gas-solid two-phase flow in a new type cyclone preheater based on fluent software

By means of fluent software,the gas flow field and particle trajectory of a new type cyclone preheater,which with incline top,transitional volute chamber,eccentric inner cylinders and sloping outlet,were simulated.The RNG k-ε model and stochastic trajectory model were proposed.The results showed that the strongly swirling flow occurred in the cyclone preheater.There was an obvious gas core column at the center of cyclone preheater,and its speed nearly 2 times as high as the entrance speed.Tangential velocity distribution was asymmetric hump type.The radial velocity of vortex shell was larger than other parts.The particle trajectory showed that this structure was more advantageous to the gas-solid separation.
