The Fenvalerate(Fen) concentration in synthetic and assembling shop air of Fenpesticide plants were 0.023, O.122mg/m~3 res-pectively. The workers operated manuallyand without preventive measures. The majorsymptom of the exposed was skin itching,and was aggravated on every monday. Thevisual-response time of the exposed workerswas prolonged, which may relate to prolong-ation of the motor conduction latency rate(MCLR) of rat sciatic nerve. The animal ex-periment showed that Fen could reduce theability, in the Y-maze test, of learning andmemory and the faculty, in the former limbhanging test, of nerves and muscles coordin-ation and of muscle stamina. The results ofmicronucleus test showed that Fen make themicronucleus rate in blood cells of workersand mice rise. It revealed that Fen perhapswas harmful to the human genetic effect. It issuggested that local ventilation installationswere set up in shops, especially in pouringFen into ampoule and sealing ampoule shopsections. The skin of the exposed workersated with Yi-Ling cream.
