HPLC method for simultaneous determination of nine polyphenols in apple

YANG jian-rong SUN cheng-feng(Institute of Food Science and Engineering, Yantai University, Yantai,Shandong 264005,China)  
Objective:Contents of nine kinds of polyphenol were determined by HPLC;Method: The neutral phenol and the phenolic acids were separated in a C18 column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase was acetonitrile / acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer on gradient elution at the different flow rate. Contents of polyphenol in the Yinduqing apple were determined by this method;Result: The resolution is all above 1.5 and the recovery rate exceeds 90%. The relative standard deviation is 1.2%~2.3%;Conclusion:This method is simple,accurate and reliable.
