Preparation of Potassium Citrate Sodium Solid Beverage and Determination of Its Urine Alkalization Function

In this paper, a solid beverage used to alkalized human urine was developed with sodium citrate, potassium citrate, citric acid and xylitol as the main raw material. The product formula and technological flow were determined, and the product quality standard was established. Clinical tests were carried out to test the urine alkalization ability of the products developed. Experiment results: There was significant difference between the urine pH and basic value after drinking of potassium citrate sodium solid drink(P 0.01). There was no significant difference between the urine pH and the basic value of the urine after drink water(P 0.05).The results showed that this potassium sodium citrate solid beverage can effectively alkalization urine pH, and organoleptic indicators, physical and chemical indicators and health indicators are in accordance with the relevant national standards.
