A Local Moving Mesh Method for Solving Hamilton-Jacobi Equations

A moving mesh method based on Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin method is designed for solving Hamilton-Jacobi equations.A local moving mesh method is further designed using troubled-cell indicators.Numerical results indicate that these two methods can improve the quality of the numerical solution,compared to the methods using uniform mesh.By making the mesh-moving local,the local moving mesh method can save the computational cost and improve the efficiency without compromising the accuracy.
