Qian Yunfeng Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College Feng Zhongqing Xi' an Communications Institute
Wuthering Heights is Emily Bronte's only novel. The publication of this work established her fame in British literature.Nowadays, more and more people realized the greatness of the novel and are attracted by it. Emily Bronte's dislike of hypocrisy results in an instinctive, highly individualistic view of life. Many of the materials in Wuthering Heights have some relationship with the author's own life. This thesis attempts to show Emily Bronte's way of writing her only novel. In this novel, her broad imagination, her view of love, her uniqueness of narrating technique and her way characterization can be seen obviously. In particular, she used contrasts and comparisons from the beginning to the end not only on the environment, but also on most of the characters. All these special ways left us a deep impression and made her novel a unique one in English literature.
