Advances in Applications of Organic Intramolecular Charge-transfer Compounds

Organic intramolecular charge-transfer(ICT)compounds have unique optoelectronic properties, such as fine control of molecular energy level and photoinduced energy-transfer, etc.The design, synthesis and application of these compounds have become a focus of material science. The concept and properties of intramolecular charge-transfer compounds are discussed.In addition, the applications in nonlinear optics, organic solar cells, organic molecular sensors,organic light-emitting diodes and biological imaging are reviewed.
