COMPARATIVE STUDY ON PEROXIDASE ACTIVITY AND ISOZYMES OF HPGMR RICE UNDER DIFFERENT PHOTOPERIOD INDUCTION

The changes of the activity and isozy-mes of peroxidase in HPGMR (Hubei Photo-period Sensitive Genic Male-Sterile Rice)Nongken 58 were studied under differentphotoperiods and at different developmentalstages.At the pistil and stamen primordiumforming phase,the activity and bands ofperoxidase isozymes in HPGMR-Nongken 58increased under long-day and red light in-terruption treatments.But,there was betweenthe normal Nongken 58(CK) under long-day or short-day treatments and HPGMR-Nongken 58 under short-day or red light+far red light interruption treatments no di-fference in the activity and bands of per-oxidase isozymes.These results indicated therewere certain relations between peroxidase iso-zyme and the fertility transformation ofHPGMR.And the phytochrome may involvein the regulation of the gene expression ofperoxidase isozymes in HPGMR.
