THE CHARACTERISTICS OF MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AND THEIR ANTIGENS ASSOCIATED WITH HUMAN SPERM ACROSOME REACTION Ⅱ Effects of the monocional antibodies on sperm function, sperm antigen localization and immunoblotting

By using mieroassay, the strong hu-man sperm agglutination were caused by 9of 23 monoclonal antibodies(McAbs)ob-tained by immunization with fresh humanacrosome-reacted(AR)sperm,which wasinduced by ionophore A 23187,but no oneof them demonstrated the ability to immo-bilize human sperm. In contrast to moststudies reported by other laboratories, theantigens recognized by most of McAbs inthe present study were located in equato-rial segment and mi(?)piece of human sperm, and no one in aerosome region of humansperm. The binding pattern of some McAbson non-treated and AR sperm was foundto be different. The human sperm proteinsranged in the size of 16-116 kDa were de-monstrated to be (?)aeted with 9 of 23 Mc-Abs by immunoblotting. Moreover, thecross (?)etion of 23 McAbs with mouse andtree shrew sperm was det(?)ted by indirectimmunofluores(?)nt assay. These results sug-gest that AR sperm posses(?)s pe(?)uliar im-munogenic properties.
