Some main research findings include:( 1)According to the variable"like highbrowart or not",the square dancing participants can be divided into"higher audience"and"lower audience". Moreover,"higher audience"can be divided into"snobs"and"omnivores".( 2) Compared with population in similar situation in the whole China( the same age group),the birth year of square dancing participants tended to concentrate on 1950-1959,and they tend to have higher education level, but their social economical status is similar to the same age group( square dance participants born after 1950 have homogeneous variance with the same age group, and the difference of their means is not significant). Education level affects the classification of"higher audience"and"lower audience"most significantly, and social economical status affects the division of higher audience most significantly.
