Design of multi-channel parallel UART module based on FPGA

In response to the problem of low data transmission rate,mutual interference of the interface and parallel communication failure with the existing multi-UART system,the study works out a new UART interface design based on FPGA.According to RS-232 communication protocol,this paper designs the module of baud rate generator,sending module and receiving module using Verilog HDL language at first,and then tests the UART logic function on EP2C8 chip.The results of experiments show that the designed UART can receive 10 Hz GPS data frame in parallel with 76.29 Hz attitude and heading reference system.The multi-UART can fulfill parallel work,complete and reliable data frame transmission.
