Establishment of immunoblotting system for vitamin D receptors in bullfrog and zebrafish

To date,vitamin D receptors( VDRs) from mammalian and avian have been studied extensively,but little is known about VDR in lower vertebrate species such as amphibians and fishes. In this study,bullfrog and zebrafish were chosen as the representatives of amphibians and fishes,the bullfrog duodenum,bullfrog kidney and zebrafish intestine were collected as potential target tissues for VDR detection. After protein extraction from the selected tissues,the tissue distribution of VDR was detected by immunoblotting,and the experimental conditions were optimized in the experiment. This study will provide the valuable technical support for VDR studies of amphibians and fishes,and promote advances in research of the related fields.
