Research on variation of NDVI and its response to temperature and precipitation in northern and southern Qinling mountains

Based on the meteorological data and 10-day SPOT-NDVI data in northern and southern Qinling Mountains from 2000 to 2012,and combined with EOF and SVD,the paper analyzed the spatial distribution characteristics of hydrothermal conditions and NDVI and vegetation response to temperature and precipitation. The results indicated that: 1The spatial distribution characteristics of temperature and precipitation in north and south sides of the Qinling Mountain were significantly different. 2 NDVI is obviously different in mountain grassland,farming areas and urbanization area. 3Affected by natural conditions and remote sensing data acquisition technology,the mutual influence between NDVI and temperature and precipitation is complex. The dependence of NDVI on the natural climate has waned by affecting by the modern agriculture technology,biological engineering,and human activity.
