A method of extracting point cloud data from PNG files fusing RGB and depth information

A large number of RGB information and depth information will be produced for 3 D information construction with Kinect sensor. RGB map and depth map will be saved as two PNG format using the Open NI library,and it provides original data for 3 D construction of the follow-up. It'll be a little long-winded.In this paper,we proposed a method to integrate color information and depth information into a PNG file and hide the depth information to the Alpha channel to read the 3 D point cloud information. And the method of extracting 3 D point cloud data is implemented on the Open Frame Works platform.
