Involute helical gear grinding simulation and contact analysis based on Vericut

The paper uses Vericut simulation software to experiment with a simulation of the grinding of the standard involute helical gears and topological modified helical gears. The Abaqus software has been used to perform transient contact analysis of the helical gears before and after modification. Compared with the results before and after modification,it shows that the contact stress decreased significantly and was more in line with the gear operation. The results show that this combination method can provide reference theoretical methods and design methods for forming grinding technology,topology modification technology and contact analysis technology of involute helical gears.
