STUDY ON THE OXIDATION MECHANISM OF MIXED THIOLS IN SWEETENING OF LIGHT OIL

The accelerating effect of normal thiols on the oxidation of tertbutanethiol was discovered through the kinetics study of homogeneous catalytic co-oxidation of mixed-thiols consisting of three types of thiols, i. e. tert-butanethiol, n-butanethiol and n-octanethiol. A mechanism which conforms well to the experimental results is proposed.
