Low-complexity equalization to OFDM applied in underwateracoustic communications

Traditional equalizer for eliminating ICI is complicated because of the characteristics of underwater acoustic channel. This paper proposes a scheme of equalization with low-complexity, which simplifies the channel matrix with linear pre-processing and iterative MMSE estimation to estimate symbols. Simulation results indicate that the equalizer can improve SINR and has significant complexity advantages in underwater acoustic communications over previous methods.
