Numerical Simulation of Vertical Soil Pressure on Ditch Burying Culvert

Based on finite element software ANSYS,with simulation of construction process to rigid rectangular ditch burying culvert,the paper analyzes the law of soil pressure on culvert and discusses the influence of groove width and foundation stiffness to vertical soil pressure on culverts.The results show that: soil pressure on a box culvert is larger in sides and smaller in the middle;In the conditions of rigid foundation,when the groove width is smaller,the soil pressure coefficient monotonically decreases,when the groove width is larger,soil pressure coefficient first increases and then decreases;With the increase of foundation flexibility module,soil pressure on top of culvert increases.
