Occurrence Mechanism Analysis and Control of Longitudinal Cracks on Ektexine of PCCP Tube Core

The 4.0-meter-diameter PCCP tube being used in the section between Huinanzhuang to Daning of the Emergency Water Supply Project that belongs to Beijing-Shijiazhuang section of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project is domestically manufactured for the first time. Restricted by technology,environment,equipment and experience,longitudinal cracks with different length and width occur stochastically on ektexine of individual PCCP tube core during production. An analysis of the occurrence mechanism of this kind of longitudinal cracks was performed to present the prevention measures and treatment scheme. The application results prove good.
