The new industrial organization theories that emerged in the West in the 1980s have produced a great impact and even shock to the Western economics. At the core of these theories are theories about corporation and market, which are also the foundation on which a lot of new theories of development are built. Knowledge of such theories not only gives us insight into what is happening to Western economics, but also provides us with a tool with which we can better tackle problems in our own economic activities.
