Plastic collapse load analysis of circumferentially cracked pipes under side force

Shearing strength has great effect on the limit bearing capacity of circumferentially cracked pipes under side force. Therefore a mechanical model of plastic collapse load analysis of the pipe is established. And equations are derived to calculate the collapse load of the pipe with various cracks under tensile force and side force and inner pressure, which can be used for the evaluation of the safety of the circumferentially cracked pipes under various loads.
