Design on comprehensive experiment for preparation and enantioseparation of chiral stationary phase derived from cellulose

By using microcrystalline cellulose as raw material,the cellulose-three(1-naphthylcarbamate)is synthesized and then it is coated on the surface of the silica gel to prepare the chiral stationary phase.The cellulose derivatives and stationary phases are characterized by using the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,the elemental analyzer,the scanning electron microscopy,etc.The stationary phase is filled in an empty column to prepare the chiral chromatographic column,and the enantioseparation properties of the prepared column on the several chiral samples are tested by the high performance liquid chromatography.This experiment involves the knowledge related to the organic synthesis and characterization,and deals with the practical problems of chromatographic analysis of chiral drugs,etc.It is highly comprehensive and can be used as the comprehensive experimental teaching content for undergraduate students.
