Improvement of self-oscillation circuit by single-tube induction heating

In view of the defects such as IGBT non zero voltage switch(ZVS),the large increase of the pulse rate,the increase of IGBT loss,etc.,in the commonly-used low cost single-tube induction heating power,the operational mechanism of the power supply is analyzed in detail,and the essential reason that the circuit can't realize the ZVS is found.The method to realize the ZVS of the power supply by increasing the fixed delay is proposed,and the delay time range of the circuit is theoretically analyzed and deduced.Finally,aproper scheme to realize the fixed time delay is presented by increasing the number of comparators.An experimental platform for the 1 kW single-tube induction heating is established.The experimental results prove the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the method.The theory and experimental platform can be used for a comprehensive experiment for the basic course of power electronic technology.
