Improved design of frequency characteristic measurement system based on quadrature modulation

The optimal design of frequency characteristic measurement system based on orthogonal modulation is carried out.The frequency range of the DDS orthogonal sweep frequency signal source based on FPGA is100kHz-40 MHz.In order to improve the sweep frequency precision,the sweep mode is divided into the full frequency scanning and segmented scanning,and the frequency resolution has two kinds of 1kHz and 10 kHz.In order to meet the needs of different network measurement and improve the measuring accuracy,a programmable gain amplifier circuit is designed.Its gain adjustable range is-34dB-14 dB,and the gain step value is 4dB,which enables the signal amplitude of the amplifier output to meet the requirements of 20mV-5V.By using the method of effective noise elimination,the measurement accuracy of the system is further improved.The amplitude frequency characteristic measurement error of the improved system is less than 0.5dB,and the phase frequency characteristic measurement accuracy is better than 2°.
