Design of teaching experiment of sourceless radioactive density measurement

In order to inspire students' learning interests and improve their operation capability,a teaching experiment of sourceless radioactive density measurement is proposed.This experiment is put forward based on the requirements of engineering education accreditation for Exploration Technology and Engineering specialty.Aiming at the understanding of methods and principles of radioactive density logging well,this paper describes the information of the experiment,including sample preparation,experiment facility and measurement procedure.Additionally,the teaching performance and effect are evaluated as well.The teaching results reflect that such experiment could motivate students' interests and eliminate their fears on radioactivity experiments.Besides,this experiment can help them to lay solid foundation and improve their innovative and practical ability.The consequences suggest that the design can meet the requirements of engineering education accreditation better as well as the requirements of"Excellent Engineers Plan"for Exploration Technology and Engineering specialty.
