The Mineral Nutrient Absorption Characteristics in the Root System of High-Yielding Rice Varieties

The mineral nutrient absorption characteristics of the rice varieties miyang23, Bright Star and Japanese Qing were compared by means of potting hydroponics. The results showed that the NH_4~+--N absorption amount changed with a two peak curve for mryang23; the NH_4~+--N absorption amount lowered in the stage of young spike dif- ferentiation as the Bright Star and Japanese Qing did, but in other stages, the absorption amount was higher for Miyang23 than that for others, particularly in the later stage. The K absorption amount also presented a two peak curve for Miyang23,which was higher thaa others all the time except in the stage of spike differentiation. The P absorp- tion amount for Miyang23 was different from N and K, and was lower than that for Bright Star and Japanese Qing in the later stage. In addi- tion, in the absorption of N, NO_3~---N occupied a larger proportion for Miyang23 than for others.
