By Means of Continuous Beam to Calculate the Internal Force in Subsurface Drainage Box-type Culvert

A method for calculating internal force of subsurface dr- ainage box-type culvert in agriculture irrigation engineering is presented. Not only the special node method for dealing with the different condi- tions of boundary and support is used, but also the method of continuous beam for solving the internal force of multiple opening box-type culvert program is suggested. By putting the data into the computer the nu- merical value of shearing stress and bending-moment can be obtained. The calculation course is greatly simplified, and the degree of accuracy is increased. This method can be completely used in agricuiture irrigition engineering.
