Regulatory of Honey on Effect of Melamine and Cyanuric Acid on the Immune Cells of Mice

The effect of honey on the immune cells of mice affected by melamine and its homologues was investigated, and the detoxification effect of honey was also studied. The KM mice were divided intofive groups: melamine group, melamine + cyanuric acid combined group, melamine + honey group, combined + honey group and control group. After 28 days' by intragastric administration, blood samples were taken from the eyeballs. The peripheral blood and lymphocyte subsets were detected by automatic hematology analyzer and flow cytometer. The results showed that the combination of melamine and cyanuric acid could significantly increase the number of leukocytes and lymphocytes(p0.05). Compared with the control group, the ratio of combined group mice CD4~+/CD8~+was significantly decreased(p0.05). While the expression rate of CD138~+, alone and combined groups were significantly decreased(p 0.05). Melamine had some effect on the responses of immune cells of immune cells, partially inhibited the immune function of mice; Honey had mitigation effects on this kind of inhibition.
