Rotavirus infection in central nervous system and lung

Background Rotavirus gastroenteritis is the one of the common diarrhea diseases in infants. There arerare reports on rotavirus infection in central nervous system and lung in China and abroad. Methods Rotavirus infection in central nervous system and lung was diagnosed by electron microscope,immune electron microscopy, enzyme Linked immunosorbent and blocking assay. Results of the 200 child patients with rotavirus gastroenteritis, one case supervenes with rotavirus me-n ingitis,two cases supervene with rotavirus pncemonia (one case supervenes with pleuritis and pleural effu-sion). Conclusion The prognosis is better for rotavirus infection in central nervous system and lung.
