Engineering Safety Assessment Procedure for Reventing Fracture Initiation of Piping Flaws

Based on the FAD,the engineering safety assessment procedure for pre-venting fracture initiation of piping flaws is established. Fracture failure analysisis treated using plastic collapse load modified by a multiplying factor U. The deter-imining method for U is simple and easy. The table between allowable flaw sizes andapplied stresses is set up. One example shows that this procedure is applicable.
