Through analyzing Chen Ding's results of the race walk competition and his personal pre-competition VAT indicators at Olympic Games in London, this article analyzes the relationship of the individual anaerobic threshold speed and achievements by documentary review, mathematical statistics, expert interviewand experiment. Conclusion: VAT can determine the competition result of 20 km Race Walk Competition and the average speed in the competition is 100% ~ 102% of VAT,achieving the objective of quantifying competition performance using anaerobic threshold velocity. Quantitative scoring and anaerobic threshold speed can get an accurate time range, making preparations for the performance index more practical. This is a major breakthrough in race walking project, and it can provide theory and method for race walking coaches, scientific research personnel training and the competition.
