Teaching Experiment on Strengthening Steps Between Hurdles
Jiang Weimin et al
There has long been a problem in teaching hurdles that it is difficult for students to rhythmatically cover the three steps between hurdles. To solve this problem, the writers carried out two rounds of teaching measurements and experiments in 1987 and 1993 , and found that the ratio of the length of the first step between hurdles to the distance between the landing point and next hurdle was an important factor that influences steps between hurdles, and thus we put forward the theory of "K value" and its applications for the first time and proved that increasing "K value" coefficient was the key to strengthen steps between hurdles.
