HCI AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION ON COMPUTER

Wang Wei ( Research Institute of Geophysical Prospecting for Petroleum, MGMR P. R. China )
As we geophysicists all know, the HCI ( Hydrocarbon Indicator) method is a specific digital processing technique through which we can tell the location of oil/gas-bearing horizons, based on the extraction and integrated analysis of the attributes such as amplitude, frequency, phase and velocity from the seismic signal. This paper deals with a HCI processing System developed by OURSELVES Also, the theory and practical approaches taken by us in implementing the system are set forth.
