Variation of Ethanol on Heart Contractility and Some Biochemical Indexes in Rabbit Models

Objective To study the effect of different dose ethanol use on the heart activity,NO content in plasma and ATP enzyme activity in erythrocytes of rabbit models.Method Thirty-two rabbits were randomized into four groups,each group consisted of 8 rabbits.The three groups were continually intravenously injected 500ml/L ethanol at dosages of 0.5,1.0,and 1.5g/kg respectively and the control group was dealt with 0.9% NaCI.The pressure on left ventricles during contraction,plasma NO content and ATP enzyme activity at the 15th min were assessed.Results The effect of ethanol on heart contractility pressure of the left ventricle was unchanged(P0.05),NO content decreased(P0.05),and ATP enzyme activity increased(P0.05) in the 0.5g/kg group.Pressure of the left ventricle was significantly decreased(P0.05) in the 1.0g/kg and 1.5g/kg groups,NO content increased(P0.05) and ATP enzyme activity decreased(P0.05).Conclusion Variation of different dosages of ethanol on the heart contractility, plasma NO content and ATP enzyme activity in erythrocytes of rabbits models are obvious.
