Analysis on Surveillance Data of Pulmonary Tuberculosis During 2001～2005 in Baoan District of Shenzhen City

Objective To find out the morbidity and distribution of tuberculosis(TB) in Baoan District of Shenzhen City,and to provide the scientific evidence for controlling its morbidity and prevalence.Methods The data related to TB cases were sorted and descriptive epidemiology was applied to analyze these data.Results The incidence of TB from 2001 to 2005 was 24.49/100,000 per year,which ranked the top 3 of the infectious diseases(ranked the top 4 in 2004).From the distribution of age,the youth had the highest incidence,which ascended with the growth of age;the peak age groups were 20～25,65～70,and above 85.The occupational distribution showed that workers were the high-risk vocation,which occupied 63.08%.The incidence of man(32.92/100,000) was higher than that of women(16.74/100,000),the ratio of the male to the female was 1.81∶1.The regional distribution showed Xixiang Street had 16.05% and was more than the other streets. From the distribution of seasons,the constitution from April to November was higher,which occupied 83.92%.And the cases of floating population were more than others.Conclusion The morbidity in Baoan District is lower as compared to the national level.To control the epidemic of TB effectively, more efforts should be made in detecting and managing the TB of floating population and controlling the drug resistance cases timely.
